As you guys probably already know, I have announced that I will be migrating the SharePointDevWiki.com to SharePoint 2010 as soon as I can get my hands on RTM. I've put a lot of work into writing migration scripts to move all of the content from the Atlassian Confluence engine into SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Wiki format.
This isn't all that is happening. I spoke to various SharePoint Community design centric people and found a really cool edge when talking to Marcy Kellar (of SharePoint JUMP! fame
) who is a UX Specialist working for PointBridge in the US (yes the timezones have been challenging, but we're getting there!). So what's this "cool edge Jeremy"...well...Marcy was explaining how SharePoint + UX just isn't happening and I wanted to enhance the User Experience for SharePointDevWiki.com on the SharePoint 2010 platform...so the gauntlet has been thrown down!
This wiki space will be focused on the entire process. Both myself and Marcy will be publically collaborating here and you guys will see it unfold as it happens. Hopefully this will give you an indication of how the UX process works and how it fits with SharePoint. So please check in on this space to see how it's going and feel free to leave comments on the pages as they appear to give your feedback.
We need your feedback!
Marcy is also looking for people to interview following UX principles/guidelines to get feedback on the site. If you have time we'd really appreicate you getting in touch with us
!

It's possible that we may be getting sharepoint so just wondering if we can scrap confluence entirely or if we will need to use both..

The SharePoint 2010 Wiki functionality has improved due to the introduction of the Ribbon interface and a strongly Rich Text Editing experience. I will be writing a series of posts on this once it's all live.
